I've thought about blogging before, but I'm not the most disciplined person, and I really don't think that I have too much to say that others might be interested in reading.  It's hard enough coming up with an occasional pithy Facebook status, much less regular blog posts. 

But there has been an area of my recent life that has brought me some material - it's the world of online dating.  Maybe it's that I'm a fairly progressive person in a conservative part of the world, or maybe it's that I have standards that are fairly high, but I've been astonished and greatly tickled by the dating pool I'm finding online.  And since I rarely have a friend looking over my shoulder when I'm surfing Match.com or Plenty of Fish, I thought I'd start to blog some of the greatest hits...
